My design decisions are driven by who I am.

Who am I?

I am a web developer and a learning experience designer with a background in customer service, hospitality, tech and teaching (STEM & ESL). My previous experiences have shown me the power of people skills, and it has made me more intentional about how to approach solving problems collaboratively. Working in tech helped me improve my digital competencies and develop a meaningful appreciation for how technology can help people learn and grow professionally and personally. Finally, when I worked in a teaching setting, it showed me how passionate I am about using all of the learning tools at my disposal to help students achieve their learning goals and potential.

When I solve and approach problem-solving situations:
I always consider my target audience at the center of my problem-solving process. To design instructional solutions that are compelling and effective, I do my best to identify the audience’s weaknesses and the possible techniques to strengthen their skills. Once I have identified the best learning solution, I use a functional design approach that involves user testing and data analysis. This results in a learner-centred experience that focuses on fulfilling their needs.     My work vision: I am driven by growth and results. I enjoy being in an environment where there are always learning projects that help people reach their full potential. I am always up for new challenges especially when it comes to designing compelling solutions.

My work-relation with people:
My pillar for working with people is collaboration. I thrive on building authentic relationships with students, colleges, SMEs and stakeholders to make sure that our learning designs serve the audience and that we all can enjoy and learn from the process of working collaboratively. I aim to support and build up a comfortable environment for asking and delivering feedback.
